Job Description

Position: Full Stack Developer (Django Expertise) – Fully Remote
Salary: $5.5 CAD/hr – 10.00 CAD/hr or around PHP 38,000 – PHP 72,000 per month (lower end for entry-level, higher end for mid-level)

Responsibilities:
Create and maintain RESTful APIs, Back-end jobs and queues, and automation jobs.
Implement intelligent logging and error handling to make monitoring and problem diagnosis easier.
Collaborate with other team members, such as designers, product managers, and other developers, to understand requirements and implement features accordingly.
Strategic coding, Taking ownership of code quality, Refactoring, Code reviews, and Peer coding
Write Automated Tests
Review and give feedback on code written by other developers
Excellent code quality and standards.
Provide daily progress reports to the whole team
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree qualifications and/or relevant work experience in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or other quantitative based degree
Strong working experience in Python, Django (at least 2 years)
Proven experience as a Back-end developer or similar role
Ability to integrate RESTful API to Front-end Applications (AJAX, Axios, etc.)
Linux Skills (SSH, shell usage)
Experience in Javascript, HTML/CSS
Back-end Development
Knowledge in Version-control Systems (GIT)
Excellent communication skills, verbal, and written, with the ability to converse effectively with the team and clients in English
Also an asset:
Familiar with using WebApp2, Node, Docker, Postgres, SQL, MongoDB
Experience building with NextJS
Familiar with using Scrum/Agile development methodologies
Adaptable and eager to engage with legacy code, as well as embrace new projects and technologies with enthusiasm.
