Full-stack PHP developer

As a PHP developer at ePact, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging and meaningful projects, utilizing your in-depth knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming, MVC designs, Database Design, MySQL and front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, JQuery and AJAX.

To be considered for this role, candidates should have a portfolio or examples of their work to showcase their skills and proficiency in PHP development. We would like to see examples of your code and projects that demonstrate your experience with full-stack PHP development. We encourage all applicants to provide links to their GitHub, Bitbucket or other similar repository as well as any relevant URLs of live websites or applications you have developed. This will help us to understand your abilities and level of expertise, and ensure that the fit is a good one for both you and the company.

Hiring process:
After you apply, we will be asking you many questions over email and will be answering any questions that you may have. We will then select 3 – 5 candidates to do a paid test project. After seeing your work, we will ask you to attend an online interview for an informal chat about the company and yourself. We will then choose who to bring on to the team.

The test project:
You will be given a template that contains HTML, CSS and JS code and will be asked to create a MySQL database and write the necessary PHP code to add a couple of simple features to the application.

Skills are something that can be learned and perfected over time, although skills are important to us, we care more about your integrity, commitment, and desire to learn.

You are the right person for us if you can be honest in all aspects of your work. Open communication and honesty are crucial to us. If you are not able to hit a deadline or make mistakes, be upfront about it, we are all human after all. Ask for help when you get stuck and do not know how to do something. This is the best way to grow and learn fast.

We’ve had experience working with freelancers. We are looking for someone who is looking for a long-term relationship with the expectation that it will become full time.
