Full Stack PHP (Laravel) Developer (Remote)

HeyBlinds is a rapidly growing online store in North America and we are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Full Stack PHP Developer with a strong background in Laravel to join our Team! Reporting directly to the company owner/founder, You’ll be responsible for improving and adding functionalities to existing online e-commerce stores, as well as building new e-commerce stores using PHP and Laravel framework. This is a full-time remote position, and the ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in PHP development with a focus on Laravel framework. As a Full Stack Developer, You should be comfortable with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries. You should also be a Team player with a knack for visual design and utility.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain high-quality e-commerce stores using PHP and Laravel framework
• Maintain and re-engineer existing production code
• Improve and develop new administrative and customer-facing applications to existing online e-commerce stores
• Participate in the entire software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Collaborate with the Team to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and provide technical input for project planning
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for all software development projects
• Own code reviews and contribute to the Team’s continuous improvement efforts
• Translate descriptive requirements into technical tasks.
• Create unit and integration tests to fully test and regress software
• Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessitated by business needs
Requirements:
• Strong independent worker—You will most often be working on Your own and have full responsibility for the code of all of our online stores
• At least 5 years of experience in PHP development, and at least 3 years of experience in Laravel.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience is required
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be accepted.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
• Proven experience with MVC frameworks, such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Zend
• Experience with front-end technologies such as Click to view, React, or Angular
• Experience with Git, Agile, and Scrum methodologies
• Strong experience in cloud-based development, preferably AWS
• Strong experience in relational database
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to perform technical and functional analysis with strong communication skills
