We are seeking an experienced Database Developer to design and implement a robust database system tailored for marketing and inventory management. The database will be pivotal in analyzing customer behavior, managing inventory, and facilitating targeted marketing campaigns. This project involves creating a database schema, integrating data from ShipStation (and other sources), and ensuring the system supports our marketing and inventory ordering needs.
– Design and develop a comprehensive database schema that supports customer segmentation, purchase history analysis, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
– Integrate data from ShipStation, ensuring accurate import of customer details, order information, and shipping details.
– Implement data validation processes to maintain high data quality, including checks for data accuracy and consistency.
– Develop automated processes for regular data import and updates to keep the database current without manual intervention, including possible API integration with
– Create reports and dashboards for marketing analysis and inventory management, providing insights into customer behavior, campaign effectiveness, and stock levels.
– Ensure the database is scalable, secure, and compliant with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
– Provide documentation and training materials to facilitate smooth adoption and utilization of the web application.
Requirements:
– Proven experience in full-stack web development, with expertise in building scalable web applications and database management systems.
– Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React, Angular, or ), and backend frameworks like , Django, or Flask.
– Strong database design and management skills, preferably with experience in relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
– Familiarity with data import/export processes, including CSV file handling and API integration for future data updates.
– Experience in developing user interfaces for data visualization, search, and analysis.
– Ability to perform complex calculations within the web application and present results effectively to users.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
– Demonstrated reliability and commitment to delivering high-quality work, with a focus on meeting project deadlines and requirements.
Project Details:
– Duration: The initial phase of the project is expected to take 2 – 3 months, with potential for ongoing modifications and enhancements. Initial hours will be higher and once completed, we would like to work with you on maintenance.
