Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Web Developer to build a custom website for a home services niche. As part of the build, you will be required to create a quote builder, which displays various options for service customization based on property type and size, and a dynamic results page showcasing available tradespeople along with their respective details.

The role necessitates a keen understanding of user experience design, SQL database management, and you secure user authentication systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of front-end and back-end integration, ensuring seamless user interaction, data accuracy, and adherence to stringent security protocols.

Responsibilities:
*As a part of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
*Designing and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our web pages, including the quote builder and booking calendar, ensuring a professional and engaging user experience.
*Developing an intuitive and user-friendly quote builder that allows customers to input their service requirements effectively.
*Creating a results page that effectively displays available tradespeople along with their relevant details, ensuring an easy selection and booking process for the customers.
*Implementing a secure and efficient user authentication system that caters to both our customers and tradespeople, ensuring a seamless login experience and profile management.
*Managing the collection and display of reviews, ensuring transparency and trust-building with our customers.
*Designing and managing a SQL database to effectively store and retrieve tradespeople’s information, maintaining high standards of data integrity and security.
*Overseeing the integration of the website’s front-end with the back-end database, ensuring the accurate representation of data across different pages and implementing necessary security measures.

Qualifications:
*The successful candidate should possess the following technical qualifications and qualities:
*A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field. A combination of relevant education and work experience may also be considered.
*Proficient in various programming languages, including but not limited to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Experience with *WordPress development is highly desirable.
*Experience with SQL databases is required, including designing schemas, managing databases, and writing efficient queries.
*Familiarity with user interface design principles and creating visually appealing layouts. Proficiency with design tools such as *Adobe XD or Sketch is a plus.
*Demonstrated experience in building interactive web features, such as dropdown menus, date pickers, and form submissions. *Knowledge of AJAX or other technologies for building dynamic web pages is beneficial.
*Understanding of web authentication protocols and experience implementing login systems. Knowledge of security best practices to protect user data is crucial.
*Experience with integrating front-end and back-end systems, with a particular emphasis on connecting a website with a SQL database.
*Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders is crucial.
