Full Time Accountant

Position: Accountant, Full time individual (no companies)
Hours: USA (Miami) Daytime availability – 9AM-6PM EST
Length of Employment: This is a long-term position, hopefully for many years!
Location: Remote, work from home with your own work setup (not provided by us)

Experience Required: 5+ Years in the below skills – THIS IS A MINIMUM REQUIREMENT. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THESE SKILLS:
-Plenty of bookkeeping experience (at least 3yrs)
-Separately, accounting experience (at least 3yrs)
-Experience in QuickBooks or other similar system.

TYPES OF WORK YOU WILL DO:
• Accounts receivable & client billing.
• Accounts payable – bills verification, clarification & disbursements.
• Banking & account recons, General ledger.
• Quarterly & Annual tax prep for our external accountant.
• Handling payroll filings with our payroll processor ADP (not calculating payroll internally).
• Reviewing vendor offerings and negotiating better pricing/services, and finding new vendors as needed – for non-technical.

REQUIREMENTS:
-Strong English. Please send a short video talking about your favorite parts of accounting.
-Friendly enough to handle clients well (usually their accounting depts).
-Great math ability of course.
-A mind for analysis – able to notice patterns to things, and when certain numbers just don’t seem right, digging in until you get to the bottom of it.
-Naturally precise and detailed in work and communication.
-Enjoys accounting-related work and wants to continue to learn and grow in the field.
-Well organized (priorities & schedule) with excellent follow-up.
-Very comfortable in Excel – able to do formulas and basic reporting & charts when needed.
