As a Full-Time Accountant at PMI Property Pros, specializing in property management and trust accounting, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements specific to property management and trust funds. You will work closely with our finance team to support various financial activities and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Financial Record Management:** Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Rentvine and QuickBooks software, specifically tailored for property management and trust accounting.
2. **Accounts Payable and Receivable:** Process invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements related to property management and trust funds. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure accuracy.
3. **Financial Reporting:** Prepare and analyze financial reports specific to property management and trust accounting, including rent rolls, trust fund activity reports, and property performance summaries. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
4. **Budgeting and Forecasting:** Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts for properties and trust funds. Monitor budgetary performance and variance analysis.
5. **Tax Compliance:** Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with tax regulations applicable to property management and trust accounting. Prepare tax filings and assist with tax planning initiatives.
6. **Audit Support:** Support external auditors during annual audits of property management and trust accounts. Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation as requested.
7. **Process Improvement:** Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within property management and trust accounting functions. Implement best practices to streamline financial operations.
8. **Team Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with members of the finance team, property managers, and trustees to achieve organizational goals. Provide support and assistance as needed.
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with specific experience in property management and trust accounting.
– Proficiency in Rentvine and QuickBooks software, with a focus on property management and trust accounting modules.
– Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
