POSITION SUMMARY
At Finer Financials, we are currently seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to join our team, and be a long term, valued member of our firm! This position will be responsible for using QuickBooks Online to add transactions, match receipts, reconcile accounts, enter Journal Entries, and review financial reports for any errors, while making the proper corrections and creating a clarification sheet for each client to fill out with the information we need to complete the books for the specified time period. This position will work on approximately 10-60 client accounts in QuickBooks Online, and will also be responsible for compiling reports in order to maintain exemplary standards in accordance with our metrics and KPI’s. We are looking for a self-motivated, detailed-oriented, accounting professional who possesses a strong and proven background in bookkeeping and QuickBooks Online. This position will report directly to the Account Manager.

OBJECTIVES
This is a virtual position with a main focus on transactional bookkeeping
Handle daily, weekly and monthly bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards & loans on a monthly basis
Review financials to be able to indicate any mistakes and make the right corrections
Assess a profit & loss and balance sheet
Make appropriate payroll and tax entries if needed
Weekly, monthly and yearly Journal Entries
Help with clean-up projects and catching up books for several months or years
Email updates and questions to Account Manager
Create, build, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) pertaining to the Bookkeeper positions that will help benefit employees and the company
Be coachable by Account Manager and Owner
Turn in accurate hours and daily reports on a daily basis
Manage and respond to all email, slack, and phone communication from team members during assigned working hours, and within 24 hours if outside of working hours
Prepare for and participate in a weekly 1 on 1 meeting with the Account Manager and Owner
Prepare for and attend all weekly and monthly bookkeeping meetings to share headway, concerns, and details regarding processes and procedures
Prepare for and attend weekly and biweekly meetings with direct reports to discuss progress, roadblocks, and upcoming priorities
Maintain task list and send daily report of tasks accomplished
Accurately report hours worked on specific tasks to supervisor
Maintain professional relationships with owner, operations, and other team members
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
COMPETENCIES
Demonstrates strong Tax and Accounting knowledge
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Desktop Versions, Stripe, Square, PayPal and other accounting and third-party softwares, MS Office Suite, Adobe, Windows, DocuSign, Google Suite
Demonstrates outstanding organization and administrative skills
Is self-driven and self-motivated to meet deadlines
Well-organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving, and process improvement
Proven experience successfully maintaining a positive attitude while working in a team environment with competing priorities
Ability to thrive in an environment of change and growth
Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to sit or stand at a desk while working on a computer for prolonged periods of time
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), or equivalent experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in a tax or bookkeeping firm using QuickBooks Online & Desktop
Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
Experience running payroll preferred (Gusto Payroll and QB Payroll)
Tax experience preferred (Sales Tax filings, 1099’s, Business Tax, Personal Tax, etc.)
Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Journal Entries
Must have experience working as a bookkeeper for multiple clients simultaneously
PAY, SCHEDULE AND LOCATION
Pay range $5-10/hour depending on experience
While this is a full-time 40 hour per week position, we allow some flex-hours. It is required that your workday primarily be Monday – Friday with a minimum of 4 hours per day falling between 10am – 6pm MST, and that you have a distraction free environment
Remote position with frequent team meetings for a productive work day
Finer Financials is based out of Heber City, Utah
