Job Description

We are an up-and-coming product-led SaaS company with a 73% trial to conversion rate and 15+% month over month MRR growth since launching. We aim to revolutionize the health and wellness coaching industry.

We are a user friendly CRM and Coaching platform for online coaches who want to deliver high outcome programs to large numbers clients without sacrificing their time freedom. Our technology allows coaches the ability to attract, convert, coach, and manage their clients all in one simple easy to use coaching CRM platform.

Our platform supports coaches and clients alike in achieving their health and wellness goals through an innovative client portal experience blending automated courses, habits, workouts, assessments, tracking, and coach communications and a very intuitive UI/UX.

We have achieved a significant product market fit and now we need a highly skilled expert CTO to help us achieve our next growth curve successfully and hopefully join the team permanently.

As we gear up for more growth, we’re seeking a highly motivated Fractional CTO (initially) who shares our passion for health and wellness and has the tech expertise listed below to push our product to new heights while maintaining a scalable CI/CD containerized infrastructure with uptime monitoring, feature reliability, and security at the forefront of its priorities.

You are a tech-savvy professional with a deep personal interest or passion for health and wellness. Your technical skills match our needs perfectly and you possess the strong leadership and planning skills that make you the perfect candidate to lead our tech team.

You are not afraid to dig in and get your hands dirty. Armchair CTO’s are not encouraged to apply here. We are seeking a diligent remote CTO who can devote uninterrupted focused time to actually solving issues and present real tangible wins on a consistent basis.

You must be a strategic thinker capable of conceptualizing a multi-layered situation and extrapolating the information needed to make the best decision. You must also have experience with automated workflows, conditional logic, cron jobs, time zone logic, tagging, and advanced CRM functionality.

You understand integrated messaging and have worked with companies like Mailgun, Twilio, Sendgrid, and 3rd party API connections.

You’re a measurement enthusiast, well-versed in leveraging data to drive decisions and improvements. Your keen ability to spot patterns and trends will help us stay ahead in a competitive market.

Experience Requirement:
You must have experience taking a clickable MVP mockup or Figma wireframe from a fully conceptualized MVP idea > to a scoped AGILE multi-developer pipeline > staging tests > to a shipped beta feature in a predictable and reliable time frame.
This includes implementing testable release milestones with clearly communicated deadlines.
Development Process Requirement:
You must have experience managing an AGILE CI/CD development pipeline with more than one developer.

Core Responsibilities:

Lead the technical development of our SaaS platform, focusing on scalability, security, and user experience. maintaining low user churn.
Implement containerized infrastructure with load balancing, ensuring 24/7 uptime and seamless deployment processes.
Optimize our development pipelines, fostering a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement among the team.
Spearhead the audit of our entire system, creating a detailed 6-12 month technical roadmap aligned with our strategic goals.
Drive the development and launch of key features, particularly those enhancing our mobile app capabilities, ahead of Q1 2025.
Maintain daily sync-up conversations with the CEO to ensure strategic alignment and swift decision-making.
Have 10-15 minute daily stand-ups with the dev team you are leading.
Evaluate pull requests and deployment pipelines.
Prepare end-of-day (EOD) reports highlighting progress, challenges, and metrics.

Technical Skills Required:

Proficient in Laravel, , MySQL, and extensive experience with Google Cloud services and (or) AWS.
Experienced in implementing and managing containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes) with an emphasis on load balancing and high availability.
Strong background in Agile development methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
Demonstrated ability to lead tech teams through rapid development cycles, maintaining high standards of code quality and performance.
Skilled in data analysis and trend spotting to inform product development and strategy.

Qualifications:

A passion for health, wellness, and fitness industries.
Excellent conversational English, with strong communication skills suited to Zoom calls and project planning sessions.
A track record of technical leadership, preferably in a SaaS environment, with the ability to inspire and lead a development team.
Willingness to engage in daily 15-minute sync-up conversations with the CEO during US working hours.
