We are looking for a full-time Customer Service Manager who will remotely manage all of our customer service and administrative needs during the US business hours of 8am to 4pm Central Standard Time (Chicago time). We do have some slight flexibility with these hours. The Customer Service Manager must be fluent in English, and extremely confident in interacting with our American customers. This position will report directly to the owner of the business.
About Us:
We are a US-based apparel company that sells men’s shirts and similar products. We have both a subscription-based service (a “shirt of the month club”) and a Shopify store. We have been a successful business for more than 10 years, but we are a small company and our new Customer Service Manager will be a very important part of our team. Responsibilities:
Handle customer emails, live chat, and social media interactions on daily basis
Ensure 100% customer satisfaction by addressing requests and issues, such as:
change mailing address or update billing info
cancel subscriptions or orders
exchanges, returns, refunds, etc.
Although Customer Service will be the primary responsibility, Customer Service will not take up all of your time. Therefore the Customer Service Manager may also be asked to perform other tasks, including:
General Administrative assistance to the business owner
Date Entry / Spreadsheet work
Marketing Research
Social Media posting
Order Processing
Updating products and inventory in Shopify
Collaborate with the business owner and other team members, and wear different hats as needed in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications:
You must have CURRENT experience working US business hours (Filipino overnight shift). If you have never worked US work hours, please do NOT apply
Experience in customer service and live chat
Experience with WordPress and Shopify
Fluent in American English, including casual slang and terminology, while maintaining professionalism
Familiarity with customer service systems like HelpScout, Zendesk, etc
Attention to detail – write “Big Marlin” in your subject line when applying
Availability of a reliable computer with strong Internet access
A great attitude and strong interest in assisting our customers
Be a self-starter – help us optimize our current process!
