We are seeking a skilled and experienced video editor to join our team who specializes in creating high-quality, entertaining and funny videos for YouTube and then converting those videos into short-form content for TikTok / Reels / Shorts.
Responsibilities:
– Collaborate with the creative team to develop video concepts and storyboards that are tailored to YouTube and short-form content
– Edit and enhance video footage to produce high-quality videos that are optimized for YouTube and short-form content platforms
– Cut and splice video footage to create a seamless final product that is engaging and attention-grabbing
– Add special effects, music, and sound effects to enhance the video and make it stand out on YouTube and short-form content platforms
– Work with the team to ensure timely project completion and delivery of videos that meet the specific requirements of YouTube and short-form content platforms
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a video editor, specializing in YouTube and short-form content platforms like TikTok & Reels
– Expertise in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro (preferably Final Cut Pro since our team uses it and we could share cloud storage and projects seamlessly)
– Strong understanding of video production techniques and processes that are specific to YouTube and short-form content platforms
– Ability to look at reference videos and be able to replicate certain FX and Editing Styles
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Excellent time management and organizational skills
– Great understanding of current internet meme culture and American culture
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Technical Requirements:
– ABILITY TO EDIT VIDEO IN 4k/60FPS AN ABSOLUTE MUST!
– At least 4 core processors is desirable (Intel 6th Gen or newer CPU, or AMD equivalents, such as Ryzen 5 or 7th line of processors)
– 16 GB RAM minimum for 4K videos.
– The video card at least 4 GB, Nvidia GTX 1650, preferably newer – for example Nvidia RTX 2060 or 3060, AMD Radeon R5 or later
– For Mac users a M1 processor & 16gb of RAM running Final Cut Pro X should be fine
– Webcam & Mic for ZOOM calls
– Internet Connection (speed must be above 20 Mbps both Download and Upload)

We are looking for someone who would be comfortable editing videos and using effects like the following content creators. We are not looking to rip off their styles and effects. They are simply a source of inspiration, a benchmark we aim to one day achieve and over time develop our own style that fits our influencers brand:

Workload:
We are looking for someone who will grow with us over time and become a part of our Alonso Alliance Gang. We are expecting to give you about 40-50 hours of work every week. This will look something like:
– 2-3 YouTube videos every week ranging from 5-10 minutes of runtime per video
– Convert those YouTube videos in to 3-6 (Shorts/TikToks/Reels) (30-60 seconds runtime)
– Create Thumbnails for YouTube & TikTok/Reels
Compensation Details:
– $5/hr 45hrs per week (~$900/month)
– Paid Vacation & Sick Days
– Holiday and Overtime Hours (+$2hr)
– 8-9 hours a day, 5 days a week
– Bi-weekly payout
– Opportunity for Raises and Leadership roles as our agency grows

Instructions:
– Trim any weird background noise from voice over audio like mouse and space bar clicks
– add copyright free music as a bed that fits the vibe of the song (instrumentals only) and use volume automation to bring the volume up when there is no dialog
– add captions and synchronize it to the video (script provided in Google Drive)
– be creative and add what ever effects and memes you think would work well for the video (there are included suggestions in the script where i think funny sponge bob memes and sound fx would fit well here, but feel free to be as creative as you like. This is where we want to see your video editing super powers)
– Trim video fluff (setting up camera/positioning/awkward moments) that doesn’t need to be there (provided footage is over 7 minutes long, but i think the final video can be trimmed down to 4-5 minutes)
