As part of our commitment to providing valuable content to our hyperlocal audience, we are seeking a dedicated and creative Full-Time Virtual Podcast Manager and Editor to oversee and enhance the production quality of our three local podcasts.

**Position Overview:**
As the Full-Time Virtual Podcast Manager and Editor at Abra Kadabra, you will be responsible for managing, editing, and improving the quality of our three podcasts, each tailored to our hyperlocal audience in the Minneapolis area. This role requires a detail-oriented and enthusiastic individual with a passion for audio content creation.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Podcast Management:**

1. **Content Planning and Development:**
– Collaborate with podcast hosts to plan episode topics, themes, and guest interviews.
– Assist in scriptwriting, show format, and content development.

2. **Production and Recording:**
– Coordinate recording sessions, schedules, and logistics, including remote interviews.
– Ensure high-quality audio recording and troubleshoot technical issues.

3. **Audio Editing:**
– Edit podcast episodes for clarity, coherence, and engaging content.
– Enhance audio quality, remove background noise, and add necessary effects or music.

4. **Post-Production:**
– Add intros, outros, and promotional segments.
– Prepare episodes for distribution and upload to podcast hosting platforms.

**Quality Assurance:**

5. **Content Review:**
– Review podcast content for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with our brand and hyperlocal focus.
– Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.

6. **Technical Support:**
– Troubleshoot technical issues during recording and editing.
– Maintain and update podcast equipment and software.

7. **Distribution and Promotion:**
– Publish episodes on podcast hosting platforms (e.g., Apple Podcasts, Spotify).
– Optimize metadata, titles, and descriptions for better discoverability.
– Assist in creating promotional materials for social media and marketing.

**Qualifications:**

– Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, or a related field is preferred.
– Proven experience in podcast management and audio editing.
– Proficiency in audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity).
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to audio quality.
– Excellent communication and organizational skills.
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
