Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper (40hrs/week from 9am to 5.3pm including 30 mins lunch break, 14 days paid annual leave per year, Australian public holidays and annual performance bonuses) to to handle bookkeeping for our clients in Singapore and Australia.

1. Job Description

• Set up new client accounts in Xero.
• Regularly update and maintain chart of accounts.
• Sync bank accounts and perform bank reconciliations.
• Input and manage all financial transactions.
• Track expenses and ensure they’re correctly allocated.
• Manage and process client invoices.
• Enter supplier invoices in Hubdoc/Xero
• Follow up on overdue invoices and maintain an aging report.
• Set up and maintain payroll settings in Xero.
• Process weekly/monthly payroll runs.
• Ensure compliance with Australia’s Superannuation and PAYG requirements.
• Prepare month-end journals for accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
• Ensure all transactions for the month are correctly recorded.
• Assist in preparing year-end financial statements.
• Generate monthly profit and loss, balance sheet and balance sheet schedules
• Prepare customized client reports as needed.
• Ensure accurate recording of all GST-related transactions.
• Assist clients with any bookkeeping or Xero-related queries.
• Identify and recommend improvements in the bookkeeping process.
• Develop and maintain bookkeeping procedure manuals.
• Work closely with accountants and other team members to ensure seamless financial data flow.

2. Requirements
• Have at least 3 years’ experience using Xero for bookkeeping.
• Certification in Xero is required.
• 2+ years’ experience with clients from Australia or Singapore.
• Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
• Proficient in Excel, especially with functions like Sumif, Vlookup and Pivot table.
• Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and apps like Dear, A2X, Shopify, and Amazon is a bonus but not a must.
• Proactive and able to work independently.
• Strong adherence to deadlines and excellent communication skills
• Professional, attentive to detail, and open to feedback.
