FRONTEND & BACKEND WEB DEVELOPER

Thank you for taking the time to review my job posting. We are looking for a 100% remote web developer to take over the management of our existing WordPress webstore running WooCommerce. The website is so you can review prior to applying.

The role will be flexible with the hours you work on it. Some months you will be very busy and others you might only have a small amount of work to complete. So please keep this in mind when applying for the role.

THE ROLE
– Management of the WordPress website and updating plugins
– Developing and deploying website upgrades and improvements
– QA work on all development and deployments
– On-call for any urgent or priority 1 website issues (issues with cart/checkout etc)
– Continual improvement and implementing best practice code and design
– Improving site speed and reliability

YOUR SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

– 3+ years experience frontend development
– 5+ years experience in backend development
– 5+ years experience in WordPress/WooCommerce
– Complete understanding in best practice web design and coding
– Experience completing QA work across multiple devices
– 5+ years experience in PHP
– 5+ years experience with HTML & CSS
– 5+ yearx experience in Javascript
– Project management experience
– Experience with mobile friendly design
– Experience in desktop/mobile speed optimisation
– Experience with Trello
– Experience with technical SEO/best practice for eCommerce
– Organise and reliable

TECH REQUIREMENTS:

– Laptop/Desktop with Ryzen 3 or Core i3 processor or higher
– Stable internet connection (at least 10 Mbps)
– Backup internet service provider
– Backup power service
– Skype or Whatsapp to chat to the manager

THE ROLE

The role will begin with you and your team auditing our current website and understanding how it has been setup and built. You will receive handover from current development agency.

You will then takeover the existing tasks in the development roadmap and begin working on them. Site speed is a priority, therefore you will focus on improving speed as a first project.
