GA4 Data Analytics Expert
The Blogsmith needs expert help managing Google Analytics 4(GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Google Looker Studio on behalf of our content marketing clients. Experience with B2B SaaS is a plus as most of our clients operate within this niche and having this knowledge will be helpful in identifying the most impactful metrics and results to measure. Your main goal in this role is to develop reports and dashboards that show the results we get from SEO content we’ve created and published.
To be successful in this role, you should be highly skilled in GA4, Google Tag Manager, complex reporting filters on Google Search Console, and data visualization tools like Google Looker Studio or similar tools. If you have experience with most, but not all of these tools — please still plan to apply. But if you’re unfamiliar with GA4, it’s not a fit at this time.
You can work whenever you want as long as you can respond to team communications within 24 hours on Monday–Friday and consistently meet deadlines without micromanaging.
Responsibilities
– Ensure GA4 is properly set up: Most of our clients have migrated from Universal Analytics to GA4, but we need help in ensuring tagging and data collection is properly set up.
– Develop custom event conversion tracking and user behavior analysis such as tracking new and returning visitors, link/button clicks, form submissions, and email signups.
– Set up content groups in GA4 to monitor SEO performance of all pages we’ve written. The goal is to show how our content is performing against other pages across a client’s website. We’re also looking for assistance with setting up content groups for selected pages by buyer’s journey stages, such as middle-of-the-funnel pages or landing pages.
– Set up channel attribution report in GA4. We want to show initial touch attributions to demonstrate the value of how the pages we’ve written contributed to the conversion — from a visitor to a subscriber, a downloader, or a purchaser of a product or service.
– Google Tag Manager account creation and set up: Employ various relevant events and triggers based on the metrics to be tracked as mentioned above.
– Google Looker Studio dashboard creation: Build dashboards to visualize overall SEO performance gathered from all desired metrics.
– Interpret analytics data and provide data-driven recommendations to help The Blogsmith relay the areas of improvement for our client’s SEO content strategy.
– Stay up-to-date with latest best practices in data analytics and tools to implement the most efficient ways to show SEO performance results for our clients.
– Develop training and support documents for SEO team members on GA4, Google Tag Manager, and other SEO reporting processes as needed. We’re looking for your help to build the foundation of gathering the most impactful metrics, creating dashboards, and identifying stages of efficient replication and maintenance. We want to be able to templatize this process versus doing it from scratch every single time.
