Game Concept Artist/Illustrator

Good day! We are Eyeball Games Pte. Ltd, a Singapore based mobile gaming studio that was funded by the creators of the smash hit game 8 Ball Pool (over 1 billion downloads). We are looking for a versatile CONCEPT ARTIST to help define and expand the visual design of our mobile game. The work would be full-time job with flexible working hours from Monday to Friday.

The main and routine tasks of the concept artist are to:

– Sketch, draw and design art concepts for game design documents to make the vision of the art direction more tangible
– Conceptualize via quick sketches and digital illustrations to help the art director show the preliminary project intentions
– State ideas based on direction and the advancement of the project with screenshot paint overs and retakes of existing illustrations
– Effectively communicate visual intentions with wider teams
– Make any necessary iterations to ensure that the work is in keeping with the artistic vision
– Convey the color pallets sought by the art director by using it in concepts
– Account for technical constraints and limitations to suggest realistic concepts

Qualifications:
– At least 3+ years of experience in concept art in the gaming industry
– Knowledge of 2D tools/software (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop)
– Knowledge of 3D tools/software (3D Studio, Blender, or Maya)
– Good drawing fundamentals; perspective, anatomy, light and values
– Good written and oral communication skills
– Knowledge of image composition
– Creative and comfortable with iterative approach
– Ability to provide and accept feedback and adapt to change.
