Job Description

Hi there,

My name is Ezekiel Rochat. I am looking to hire a general virtual assistant to support me as I grow my website design business, ROCSHIP.

ROCSHIP is a website design studio that started in February of 2021, that serves coaches & consultants, and delivers strategy-first websites. Currently, I am the sole designer and operator, and my goal is to grow with stability and expertise.

What do I mean by that?

Stability – Defined processes & standards, no debt, and a peaceful work environment.

Expertise – Deep focus, niched in industry and specialization, quality over quantity.

So where does a need for a virtual assistant come in?

First, I need to spend more of my time on high-impact project work, marketing, and sales.

Second, I need to start creating processes & standards for the business so that I can grow it with stability and expertise, as stated above.

A virtual assistant will be vital in tackling day-to-day tasks, and provide aid in driving forward process creation and management.

About You:

– Strong work ethic
– Proficient in english
– Good internet connection
– Friendly and helpful attitude
– Ready for a full-time, long term position
– Able to take action, works to solve problems
– Willing to work in a growing/new environment
– Flexibility and a bit of a “can-do” attitude.

Job Responsibilities:

Appointment scheduling and calendar management
Creating & updating processes
Client check-ins
Answering occasional customer service emails
Google Drive organization
Note taking
Project coordination (using a project management platform called Basecamp)
Online research & AI use
Setting Up & Publishing Blog Posts & Newsletters
Deadline / Deliverables Tracking
Miscellaneous tasks

What does a normal day look like?

– Some of this is still being ironed out, but here’s what a typical day might look like:
– Check in on all the active projects
– Work on some processes
– Perform some project tasks
– Review scheduling
– Set appointments
– Organize Google Drive
– Send a message to a client

Software tools we use:
– Basecamp (project management platform)
– GDrive (file and document storage and management)
– Zoom (video conferencing)
– Google Calendar
– Webflow (Our website platform)
– ConvertKit (our email service provider)

Note: I am willing to give the right person access to training if you have a knowledge gap related to one or more of the software tools listed above. I’m more interested in finding someone with the right character, attitude, motivation, and personality than someone who already has all the right skills.

Time frame:

I would like to start vetting candidates immediately. My goal is to make this hire and begin the onboarding process in the beginning of December 2023.

The first 30 days will include a trial period. That way, we both have a chance to see if we are a good fit. Then, there will be an additional 60-day extended trial period.

Does this sound like a good fit to you?

I’ll receive applications from Wednesday, November 15, through Sunday, November 26. I’ll shortlist candidates along the way, and follow up with some candidates immediately. I plan to make a decision by December 1, and that’s when the 30-day trial period would begin, give or take a couple of days.

Here are the next steps:

Please send me a video where you tell me about your background, education, and why this position appeals to you. I know, I know, I’m not super comfortable in front of the camera either, but I want to get a sense of your personality. Then, we can ask each other questions and get to know each other.
