Job Description

We are on the hunt for a talented YouTube Video Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in editing 3-5 minute videos as well as YouTube Shorts. Your role will involve making our content visually appealing, ensuring smooth transitions, and assisting in creating compelling storytelling through your edits.

Responsibilities:

Editing 3-5 minute YouTube videos and YouTube Shorts to a high standard
Inserting graphics, titles, and ensuring audio quality is up to par
Coordinating with team members to gather assets for videos
Keeping up-to-date with YouTube trends for video formatting and techniques
Implementing feedback from analytics or team members for continuous improvement
Creating thumbnails that are visually appealing and compliant with YouTube best practices
Ensuring final products are scheduled for upload on YouTube
Managing a shared drive folder with raw and edited files
Video file management including naming, storing, and organizing files

Requirements:

Prior experience as a YouTube Video Editor or similar role in video editing
Strong proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
Good eye for visual composition and audio-visual synchronization
Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail in every aspect of video production
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills for conveying editing choices and receiving feedback
Bonus: Familiarity with YouTube SEO best practices
