Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced GIS Software Developer to join our dynamic team, focusing on the development of innovative web and mobile applications that integrate advanced GIS functionalities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GIS technologies, including ESRI ArcGIS or equivalent platforms, and a proven track record of developing applications that manage logistics, API-based geo-systems, and incorporate metadata layers with timeline-based tracking updates from various sources.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement GIS applications for both web and mobile platforms, ensuring responsiveness and user-friendly interfaces.
Integrate GIS functionalities with logistics and operational management features, including real-time location tracking, scheduling, and ESG analytics.
Work with APIs to connect with external data sources and systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and integration.
Develop metadata layers and implement timeline-based tracking for various entities, such as shipments and personnel, utilizing data from vendors, providers, or recipients.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Geography, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in GIS technologies, preferably ESRI ArcGIS or equivalent platforms.
Experience with web and mobile application development, including familiarity with frameworks such as for web and cross-platform mobile development tools.
Solid understanding of API integration, data manipulation, and working with geospatial data formats.
Demonstrated experience in logistics or similar domains, with a focus on real-time tracking, scheduling, and data visualization.
Proficiency in working with metadata and implementing timeline-based functionalities.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in team settings.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
