Hello! — we’re Trialfacts, a remote entrepreneurial company, and without us, a lot of health and medical research would not be possible. We’re searching for a New Client Coordinator to help our team solve our clients’ biggest problem. THIS IS A FIXED CONTRACT FOR APPROXIMATELY 8 MONTHS, AND IS A PARENTAL LEAVE COVER WITH POTENTIAL TO BE PERMANENT. PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT WE ARE LOOKING TO START THE FINAL STAGE OF THE HIRING PROCESS TOWARDS THE END OF JANUARY. If you’re looking for a position where you can set your own hours, take holidays as you see fit, work remotely from home or anywhere in the world, and help medical research succeed, then please read on.
Today’s highly sophisticated medical system has added nearly 20 years of life expectancy, reduced infant mortality by 90% and maternal mortality by 99%. Polio, leprosy, smallpox, and tuberculosis are practically eradicated, even in the poorest countries in the world. Vaccines have greatly reduced the impact of COVID (and we assisted Moderna COVID vaccine studies in the US). There’s plenty of room for improvement, but advances in health that have been achieved over the past 20 years are due to new medications, medical devices and understanding developed through health research.
OUR CLIENTS — academic institutions, biotech, pharma and others are working hard to continue to develop treatments and devices, increase our understanding, eradicate sickness, and improve quality of life. Their biggest challenge is spending half of their time searching for and never being able to recruit enough of the participants required for their health research. Some of our clients include AstraZeneca, Bayer, Brown University, Duke University, Harvard, Johns Hopkins University, Joslin Diabetes Centre, Mount Sinai Hospital, Stanford University, the University of Oxford, the University of Sydney, the University of Melbourne, the Westmead Institute for Medical Research, and Yale.
OUR COMPANY — Trialfacts, removes the biggest hurdle and frustration to conducting their research, by recruiting the participants they require for their health research (and many times thereby saving their research). We do this by using digital advertising and our participant database in a unique strategy that guarantees reliable recruitment within a realistic study budget. We believe that health research is crucial to the advancement and wellbeing of humanity and we’re on a mission to positively impact 1 million people through participation in research, by 2030.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN:
BE A FAST LEARNER — Quickly develop a thorough understanding of the industry, our clients, their concerns and our service.
JUGGLE MULTIPLE TASKS— Contact researchers from 60+ studies each week using our existing outbound email lead generation campaign, and manage sales activities and our CRM to ensure our new client pipeline is always up-to-date and progressing.
BE EFFECTIVE — Work with our sales team to maintain a 50%+ win rate on new client opportunities.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:
Autonomy — We don’t have set working hours, but you will be required to have overlapping working hours with our US-based clients. We don’t have a leave application process (you can take paid holidays whenever you want). We don’t micromanage or babysit. You’ll be accountable to the rest of the team purely on your results, and not on the number of hours spent working.
Our team is remote (we communicate via Slack, Basecamp and video conferencing software). We set our own hours based on what works for us and our clients. As long as you have a good internet connection you can work from wherever in the world you choose.
Innovation — We’ve launched innovative patient recruitment strategies (e.g. our phone screening appointment system, researcher interviews, social media recruitment), and we’re constantly improving our service. We have developed a data-driven forecasting approach that provides predictability in a volatile industry. Our consistent, data-driven process has allowed us to be the first and only recruitment company to provide certainty to our clients via a money-back guarantee.
It’s our data-driven approach and continuous focus on innovative patient recruitment strategies that allows us to help our clients successfully reach their goals.
Impact — Trialfacts plays an extremely important role in contributing to medical research and driving humanity forward. Our clients—researchers working at universities, pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, natural medicine companies, hospitals and medical practices—work hard to develop treatments and technology that cure diseases and improve quality of life.
Growth — As a member of a small team you’ll be exposed to many areas of the business. You’ll be given the opportunity to learn many new skills and experiment in many new areas, as well as progress and build on what you already know. We’ll encourage you to test out new lead generation and pipeline progression strategies. You’ll have access to courses and training programs of your choice, paid for by Trialfacts. Each quarter we’ll put in place a Development Plan to increase your skills, knowledge, experience, and responsibility.
Opportunity — As a small and innovative team we’ve done away with outdated corporate thinking like the physical office, micromanaging and bureaucratic leave processes, but we haven’t thrown the baby out with the bathwater. We offer a stable salary + a quarterly team bonus (dependent on company performance), annual salary review, a personal and tailored development plan, and the possibility to grow into positions of additional responsibility and leadership in the future.
WHO ARE WE ANYWAY? MEET SOME OF THE TEAM:
Nick Karrasch, CEO — I’m an Australian currently living in Brisbane, after spending the last 15 years living in six cities in Australia and Canada. I started Trialfacts, and also previously founded a business and sales funnel automation consultancy. I know a little bit about data science, and am passionate about medical research, entrepreneurship, learning, futurology, running and psychology. My weaknesses include craft beer, good coffee, moving cities every three years, and a nerdy love of hard sci-fi and rational fiction.
Jason Swart, Sales Manager — Jason comes from a background of 16 years management experience in sales, customer service, and operations. He prides himself in his sales team who he envisions as the hunters for the TF tribe – the ones who ‘feed’ the TF tribe by converting meaningful engagements with our clients into closed deals – to the benefit of the valuable research at hand and to the benefit of the TF team!
Bernadette Galimba, Senior Research Analyst — As a part of the Due Diligence team, Bernadette analyzes clients’ eligibility criteria, recruitment processes, and challenges to come up with pass rate estimates and guarantees that are backed-up by data from Trialfacts’ experience and thorough research. Bernadette is living in the town of Los Banos in the province of Laguna, Philippines. She loves mountains, the sound of ocean waves, coffee, urban gardening, and reading crime thrillers. She dreams of retiring in a farm or a beach house where life is simple and surrounded by nature.
Eli Payen, New Client Coordinator — Eli is one of the newest additions to the NCC team. With education in psychology and years of experience in customer service, she has the passion of not only providing great assistance to the clients but also achieving “retention” for the company’s continuous growth and helping maintain the business’ health. During her free time, she likes spending time with her cat, watching movies, and singing songs she randomly created.
Karissa Abadilla, New Client Coordinator — Karissa is one of the newest members of the NCC team, she takes pride in her cultural heritage, as both her grandfathers from her mom and dad’s side are pure Chinese. Growing up as the middle child, she developed a sense of independence and a goal-oriented mindset. She firmly believes that everything happens for a reason, and that every circumstance in life is not a matter of chance but of purpose. Karissa lives by the philosophy of seizing every opportunity that comes her way. She is always on the lookout for ways to improve herself and her skills, both personally and professionally. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family. She is also an avid traveler and makes it a point to visit new places at least once a year. For her, travelling is not just a way to relax and unwind, but also a means to refresh herself physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Mary Carousel Yabut, New Client Coordinator — Mary believes that every client is a unique and valuable individual who deserves to be treated with care and respect. Initially aspiring to become a Pediatric Surgeon, she is a licensed Medical Technologist from the University of Santo Tomas who discovered her true calling in sales after life circumstances led her to a new career path. The Bible verses Isaiah 58:11 and Philippians 4:13 have been a source of comfort and guidance for her during the challenging times.
THIS POSITION IS FOR YOU IF:
You can communicate effectively — Persuade and educate prospective clients via email and, occasionally, phone calls.
You have strong organizational skills — Manage our client pipeline, ongoing outbound email campaign, and CEO’s sales activities, and ensure our CRM is up-to-date.
You are flexible — We are a small and dynamic company, which means we often have to wear many hats, jump in and help each other, and roles can change over time.
