We are a New Zealand-based Digital Marketing agency seeking a highly skilled and experienced Google Ads Guru to join our team. We are looking to hire an independent contractor for a full-time role amenable to work within NZ time zone or overlaps within the NZ business hours (7am to 4pm). As a Google Ads Guru, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective online advertising strategies to drive targeted traffic, increase brand visibility, and optimise campaign performance for our clients. You will be an expert in leveraging the full range of Google Ads features and tools to achieve measurable results and maximise return on investment (ROI).
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute comprehensive Google Ads strategies for our clients, including campaign planning, keyword research, ad copywriting, and targeting optimization.
2. Conduct in-depth analysis of client goals, target audience, and market competition to inform campaign strategy and set realistic performance benchmarks.
3. Continuously monitor and optimise campaign performance, analysing key metrics such as click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, cost per acquisition (CPA), and return on ad spend (ROAS).
4. Identify opportunities to improve campaign performance and implement A/B testing strategies to enhance ad creatives, landing pages, and targeting parameters.
5. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and algorithm updates in the digital advertising landscape, particularly within the Google Ads platform.
6. Collaborates to ensure alignment and integration of Google Ads campaigns with broader marketing initiatives.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of tracking and analytics tools to measure campaign effectiveness and improve attribution modelling.
Requirements:
1. Proven work experience as a Google Ads specialist, managing and optimising complex advertising campaigns across multiple industries.
2. Strong knowledge of the Google Ads platform, including Google Ads Editor, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager.
3. In-depth understanding of digital marketing principles, advertising strategies, and performance measurement metrics.
4. Proficient in using data analysis tools and platforms to monitor and evaluate campaign performance (e.g., Google Ads reporting, Excel, Google Data Studio).
5. Exceptional analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets to drive actionable insights and recommendations.
6. Proactive problem-solver who can work in a teaming environment.
7. Google Ads certifications, such as Google Ads Search, Display, Video, or Shopping, are highly desirable.
