Graphic Artist for Comic Book

SparrowGrass, Inc. is looking for a comic book artist for non-Superhero comics featuring anthropomorphic (animal-people) characters. There will be multiple projects stemming from this.
The first issue will be approximately 30 pages. This number may increase, but won’t exceed 40 pages. The setting for the main portion of the comic has been mapped out digitally with the last portion not needing to be.

The qualified candidate will have the following abilities.
The ability to draw anthropomorphic characters well.
A knowledge of fight choreography within comics.
An understanding of the elements of filmmaking (movies).
An understanding of space in comic books for dialogue (There is very minimal dialogue in this issue) and storytelling through actions.

You will not have to choreograph the two fights. You just need to understand how to make them look good on paper.
Your understanding of movies is for how to handle establishing shots, track people and props across the story, what views would look best. You will be encouraged to follow the script and storyboarding, but also to produce alternatives if you feel that a different viewpoint would work or if that particular section of the comic could use extra panels.

All pages will be submitted initially as very quick sketches. After approval, pencil versions of the pages will be submitted. After approval of pencils will be inks.
Any pages with dialogue will be increased by $2. Dialogue pages to be translated into Filipino for an additional $2. $4 for both English and Filipino. $2 for just English.
Colors, if you can do them well, will be flat. $5 per page colored. If you cannot color, but know someone that does, they will be paid $5 per page.

Communication will be done strictly via email/messenger in English.

Chosen candidates will be asked to produce a character sheet and will be given a storyboarded page to showcase your abilities. You will be paid $10 for your time.
