Spectra Scientific is a dynamic and innovative company in the Scientific and Environmental Instrumentation field, committed to manufacturing the highest grade equipment. We specialize in the manufacture and distribution of equipment used to sample and monitor the environment, playing a key role in maintaining the health of our natural resources and detecting any potential harms that could affect them. Because of our growth, we are currently seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our creative team and play a key role in shaping and enhancing our brand identity as well as provide us with the necessary marketing material required to grown and amplify our outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

Crafting Brand Image:
– Build off our current branding and maintain a compelling and cohesive brand image that aligns with our company values and objectives.
– Work closely with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all platforms.

Marketing Material Creation:
– Design and produce visually stunning marketing materials for various channels including social media, print, and trade shows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand marketing needs and translate them into captivating visuals.

Internal Documentation:
– Update internal documents such as manuals, guides, and presentations to adhere to the established brand image.
Manage and update internal documentation to maintain consistency and relevance.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or in a similar role.
– Proficient in industry-standard design software such as but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite
(specifically Photoshop and InDesign), Canva, Figma, Stable Diffusion, etc.
– Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including branding and marketing materials.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
– College/University Diploma or Degree is required but can be substituted with applicable work
experience
– Proficient Communication in the English language is required

A Day in the Life at Spectra:

A potential day in the life at Spectra could look as follows:

Day to Day Tasks:
Marketing: Creation of marketing materials for posting on social media, this will be done on apps such as Canva, Photoshop, etc.
Updating of Internal Documentation:
– Bringing existing documentation up to brand standards. This can done through Adobe InDesign.
– The creation of product specification sheets for Spectra branded products and implementation of Brand guidelines.

Weekly Tasks:
Brand design:
– Work on crafting the brand outlook documentation, this can include the creation of conceptual logos, letterheads, technical documentation and more.
Trade Show Preparation:
– Crafting the marketing materials for trade show appearances such as flyers, banners, cards, and more. This can be done through Canva.

Note: This is a fully remote position, and the successful candidate will be expected to provide their own
equipment and workspace. Applicants are expected to have a fast Internet connection which will be
tested upon interview.
