We are a US-based marketing agency, dedicated to managing all aspects of marketing for our clients. Our specialties range from print brochures, flyers, email campaigns, and social media content creation to event branding, strategy, and press relations. For this role, our focus is on a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children with disabilities.
Position Overview:
The Design & Marketing Specialist role is pivotal in carrying marketing initiatives from conception to completion. This involves everything from initial brainstorming sessions, to designing vibrant visuals, overseeing print campaigns, and sharing content online in multiple formats.
Communication and Workflow Expectations:
In this role, while you will occasionally communicate directly with the client, the majority of client interactions will be managed by our dedicated account manager. Additionally, the account manager will primarily be responsible for passing on the jobs and specific client requests to you, ensuring a streamlined workflow and clear directives.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design compelling visuals for a range of materials including print brochures, flyers, email campaigns, and social media posts.
– Swiftly make minor design tweaks as required and deliver fun, engaging social media content.
– Draft Facebook and Instagram content and share with other relevant pages within our community.
– Brainstorm and conceptualize innovative press release ideas.
– Draft press releases (potentially in collaboration with tools such as ChatGPT) and subsequently share them with local news outlets.
– Respond to and support miscellaneous client requests, such as locating specific photos (“can you find the picture of that dog?”).
Qualifications:
– At least 2 years of design experience. *Please include your design portfolio in your application.
– Proficiency in Adobe Suite.
– Creative writing and storytelling skills.
– Familiarity with work management tools and Canva.
– Strong organizational skills with a proactive mindset.
– High level of English proficiency.
– Proficiency in Meta Business Suite is a plus.
– Understanding of current social media trends is beneficial.
Working Conditions:
– While working hours are flexible/negotiable, please be aware that deadlines can sometimes be set on short notice, especially for minor design adjustments.
