Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer position will be a key support to our Graphic Design Manager for designing, developing, and producing creative projects and services. You will be working on websites, packaging, displays, decks, campaigns, photo shoots, videos, events, spaces… The list goes on. Whatever it is, you’ll be expected to deliver the creative with vision and unrelenting perfectionism.

The right individual must take great pride in their work and pay strong attention to detail. Applicants must have a strong understanding of graphic design software and standards along with a strong sense of design style. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, while keeping organized and maintaining the highest standard of design quality in all work. Applicants need to be able to work as part of a team or individually.

Above all other job functions, the Junior Graphic Design role will be a high performer for 3 main roles:
1. Technical execution. This means you will be responsible for attending to comments and revisions for existing and new client projects with the guidance of the Graphic Design Manager in a timely, professional and organized manner utilizing strong knowledge in multiple media areas and programs like InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.

2. Optimizing the design process. This means you will be a key player in helping maintain an optimized workflow to standardize project flow and execution. The goal is to be on top of incoming client requests and deadlines making sure that all assets submitted are within the Artisans visual and technical standards.

3. Critical thinkers. This means you can decide independently when needed and can creatively find a way around atypical roadblocks and challenges to help deliver and enforce solutions.

Who you are when it comes to design proficiency if you’re right for the position:
? Must be proficient in:

? Knowledge in these programs is a plus (if no knowledge, must be willing to learn)

Email design (Mailchimp)
Zeplin
Adobe After Effects
? Must have strong foundations of:
Typographical hierarchy
Color theory
Composition

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Maintain an organized and optimized workflow
• Able to problem-solve

• Be immersed and knowledgeable in design culture, current and past
• Participate in meetings with video, social media, and photography departments and collaborating with other departments to create designs
• Attending important client meetings as necessary
• Works with print vendors, reviewing digital and physical proofs and has experience in press supervision to ensure product quality.

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
• Self-motivated and work well under deadlines
• Attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics are required
• Able to work well individually and as part of a collaborative team
• Portfolio and work samples required
• At Least three years working in design or related fields
