About This Position
DIFF is looking for a Graphic Designer who has a passion to continually seek out creative inspiration and present new ideas as well as new techniques of design and keeps relevant to current and upcoming trends in graphic design within the fashion industry.
The Graphic Designer will work closely with the Art Director, Creative Director and marketing team to deliver compelling and effective designs.
Skills for this Position:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to organically and successfully work and collaborate as part of a team
• Confidence in design, aesthetic, and presentation of concepts
• Mobile first design understanding (required)
• 2-4 Years of design experience within the digital and retail industry
• The ability to utilize creative problem solving across multiple brand aesthetics
• Time management and the ability to meet specific deadlines
• Attention to detail with a strong taste level based on continually being exposed to inspirational design
• Digital asset management skills
• Experience working in a project management tool, preferably Asana
Design Skills Required:
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator (other programs would be a great addition)
• Strong mobile first digital design skills for email, e-commerce, and social platforms
• Strong working knowledge of digital production as well as releasing assets for print
• Strong layout skills focused on spacing and hierarchy of type and image combinations
• Experience with typography and type treatments
• Knowledge of retouching and recoloring skills with a knowledge of Photoshop CC
Other fun stuff you’ll get to do:
• Work with the marketing, wholesale and product teams to develop and maintain the look and feel of the DIFF and dime brands online and print as well as create and maintain style guides and internal creative documentation
• Travel to photoshoots and video production from time to time
• Pull brand appropriate inspiration to build and present mood boards that visually explore user experiences and creative content such as seasonal photoshoot inspiration, website updates, package design and collaboration launches
• Create assets for trade show and booth marketing (Agenda, Magic, etc.)
Here are a few other things we will need you to have:
? Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design is nice to have
? 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in graphic design
? High attention to detail and ability to use sound judgment as it relates to creative design
? The ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
? Positive attitude and enthusiasm for fashion
? Strong communication skills and ability to interface with cross-functional teams
? Outstanding organization skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
