We are an Australian based printing company who focus on the real estate industry.
Our core product is fridge magnets with our biggest seller being yearly calendars. We are looking for someone who has a high level of experience in Adobe Indesign and Illustrator (which is what we use mostly).
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they can be trusted to work unsupervised and that they work well under pressure. We have peak periods each year where things go crazy and other periods that are more quiet.
To try and sort the applications I want each applicant to do a small task for me so I can see your technical skills as applicant must have a good knowledge of Illustrator.

This task is for a fridge magnet design only with printing on one side. We use Illustrator for designing fridge magnets.

Please design a 2024 calendar in the landscape house shape (the die-cut with specs is included).
Keep the same size of the artboard as it is currently in the ai file. Bleeds – 3mm. Margins for safe cutting 4-5mm.
Change the calendar to 2024 with QLD dates, the calendar with the dates is included as well for your reference (Each state in Australia has their own public and school holidays).
Create a business card size 90x55mm, similar to the examples in the style guide.
The final designs are to be supplied in PDF format, with 3mm bleeds, crop marks and die-cuts included (pink cut line).
Style of the designs should match Harcourts style guide (fonts, layout, colours)

I also would like to see the photo with transparent background in PNG format, because very often we need to change backgrounds for light or dark plain colours.
The PNG image must work for both dark and light backgrounds in the provided Harcourts style guide.

This is a good ongoing role for someone who is self motivated and can perform consistently.
