Purpose of the Role
As a Graphic Designer (math) at Lockpick Learning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Lockpick Learning team in creating comprehensive test banks of questions for the Selective High School Test. These thoughtfully crafted questions will be integrated into our online Study Game, Marble Mansion, which aims to make learning math fun and accessible to students.

A key part of the role will be illustrating new or existing questions which contain a visual component that acts as a key part of the question. This includes but is not limited to 2D and 3D geometric shapes. The aim is to have creative visuals which match the area or level that the player is currently in and we are looking for a balance of creativity and a systematic and efficient process so that we can have a large bank of interesting questions for students.

Key Responsibilities
– Collaborate with the Lockpick Learning team to design engaging and educational math-related content.
– Create visually appealing and effective diagrams for math questions.
– Ensure that the content aligns with the educational goals and standards.
– Review and refine existing materials to enhance their quality and effectiveness.
– Work on an ongoing casual basis to meet project deadlines and requirements.

The Candidate
We are seeking a candidate who possesses the following qualifications:
– Basic to Intermediate graphic design and illustration skills.
– Strong proficiency in mathematics, preferably at an intermediate to advanced level, or tutoring experience in math-related subjects.
– A creative and detail-oriented mindset with a passion for designing educational content.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
