JOB DESCRIPTION
Avalon Creative Group is seeking a talented and experienced graphic designer based in the Philippines to work with us as an independent contractor. Our goal is to establish a long term working relationship with the right designer. The right person will become an integral member of our creative team on a full-time basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
> Create graphic assets for corporate marketing campaigns, such as…
> Graphic ads for various social media channels
> Website design and banner ad creation
> Slide templates and presentations
> Print collateral
> Brand development
> Promotional materials and “swag” for corporate marketing events
> AI generated illustrations
> Layout and design for white papers
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
> Ensuring consistent application of brand and style guides across all assets created
> Organizing and managing graphic templates and asset libraries
> Documenting guidelines and process details for team members and clients
ENGAGEMENT DETAILS:
> The initial trial period will be a half-time, retainer engagement for 80 hours per month
– Hours per week may vary and unused hours may be carried over to the next month
> The engagement will be expanded to full-time as our workload justifies the need
(we anticipate that will be 2-3 months, possibly longer or shorter)
> This is a remote work position
> At least 50% of the work hours (maybe more) will need to overlap with standard business hours in California, with work starting at 4:00am GMT+8 or earlier, depending on client and internal needs

COMPENSATION
> Full-time compensation rate will be $1300 – 1700 USD per month
>> The rate established will be based on qualifications and experience
> Once transitioned to full-time, paid holidays and paid time off days will be added
> Compensation rate range for the initial trial period will be $650 – 850 USD per month
– This is a retainer engagement for 80 hours of work per month
– Hours per week may vary and unused hours may be carried over to the next month
– No paid holidays or paid time off days will be included during the initial trial period
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
> You must be based in the Philippines with fast, reliable internet access and a robust computer
> You must have a flexible schedule and be able adaptable to receive design requests and quickly start design and production work to deliver assets requested in a timely and efficient manner
> You must have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work that demonstrates your passion and experience with illustrative design and typography
> You must have experience working with various digital and print formats, platforms and tools
> English fluency (written and spoken) along with excellent communication skills are essential
QUALIFICATIONS:
> College degree in graphic design, visual communications or other related field
> At least 5 years of professional experience creating digital and print assets for corporate marketing activities, such as social media advertising, web banner ads, web design and graphics, email templates, slide templates and presentation, white paper layout and design, and promotional materials for events
> A diverse portfolio that demonstrates your direct, hands-on experience creating these type of assets
> A comprehensive understanding of the various formats and specifications of assets required by different social media channels, website platforms, printing options, etc.
> Proven expertise and mastery using the following tools:
– Adobe Creative Suite Tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and others)
– Figma
– Canva
– Midjourney & other AI image generation tools
