WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a Graphic Designer with excellent written and verbal communication skills that can toe the line between creativity and correctness, making sure that everything that leaves our door is on brand for our customers and VERY HIGH quality.
You should have the experience ??creating both print and digital collateral to enhance our customers’ presence, ultimately driving increased foot traffic, leads, and sales.
This is a remote role that would ideally suit someone who is looking to grow with a company for years to come. We are looking to start this position as Part-Time (20 hours per week) with room for rapid advancement into Full-Time; you should be available 5 days a week & able to work in the Central Time Zone.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
– Creating Visual Designs: Designing and creating visually appealing graphics, illustrations, logos, layouts, and other visual elements using various design software tools.
– Concept Development: Collaborating with clients, art directors, or creative teams to understand design requirements, objectives, and target audience. Developing design concepts and ideas based on the project brief.
– Branding and Identity: Developing and maintaining brand identities by creating consistent visual elements, including logos, color schemes, typography, and graphic standards.
– Layout and Composition: Designing layouts for print and digital media, including brochures, posters, banners, websites, social media posts, and other marketing collaterals. Ensuring effective visual hierarchy, balance, and readability.
– Image Editing and Manipulation: Editing and enhancing photographs, illustrations, and other visual elements using software tools like Adobe Photoshop. Adjusting colors, retouching images, and creating composite images as required.
– Print Production: Preparing design files for print production, including specifying print requirements, creating print-ready files, and coordinating with printers to ensure high-quality output.
EXPERIENCE:
You should not be new to any of the above responsibilities and have incredible attention to detail. You are independent & complete work in a timely manner with minimum supervision – easily able to keep your direct reports on track.
You must be highly creative in nature, while also able to ensure deliverables are always given on time. We need somebody who can OWN the Design space, bringing strategies, executing, making adjustments as needed, going through rounds of revisions while keeping a positive attitude, and continuously working to understand the client’s needs.
**NOTE – You need to be able to utilize applications in the Adobe Suite to produce graphics, print designs, etc. in order to be successful at this role
You should also be confident enough to push back on the leadership team and express your opinion if you think the ship is heading off course. We encourage that.
