We are Lux & Nyx, a fashion company dedicated to empowering high achievers with functional and fashionable eco-friendly products they need to slay the day.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate Assistant Designer and Coordinator to join our team in a full-time, remote position.

Role and Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Designer and Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing design timelines, creating standardized design tech packs, and overseeing design-related projects. Your keen eye for aesthetics, passion for high-end design, and technical design background will be essential in delivering exceptional products and ensuring on-time delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

Help manage design timelines to ensure the timely delivery of design projects, aligning with long-range production schedules and hitting seasonal drop dates.
Create and standardize design tech packs with technical patterns, ensuring that manufacturing can effectively utilize them to create samples and produce final products.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create captivating marketing collateral and design proposal slides, working together to communicate our brand and product vision effectively.
Take charge of managing projects associated with design-related work and marketing collateral needs, ensuring seamless coordination and successful project outcomes.
Collaborate with the creative designer to develop new design concepts, utilizing your fashion design skills while working together to create innovative and visually stunning designs.
Work closely with the production manager and manufacturing sample maker to create samples, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to design specifications.
Establish and maintain standard materials and design processes to optimize efficiency, consistency, and the overall quality of our products.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Proven experience or a strong background in fashion design, with expertise in creating products with technical patterns.
Technical design background with experience in creating design tech packs and working with manufacturing processes.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills to effectively manage design timelines, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Keen eye for aesthetics, demonstrating a passion for high-end design and a commitment to delivering exceptional products.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
Creative mindset and the ability to generate innovative design concepts and ideas.
Portfolio showcasing your fashion design skills, including examples of technical design work and projects you have contributed to.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time remote position, and you will be expected to work Central Standard US Hours from Monday to Friday, noon – 9:00 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.
