This is a PROJECT-BASED Position to start with but will eventually change to Full-Time depending on the performance.
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual to join our real estate business as a Remote Video Editor. The Video Editor will play a vital role in creating reels, videos, and shorts that will be used for multi-channel marketing across various social media platforms. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in video tools and applications, including Trello, and possess the ability to manage pressure while paying keen attention to details. This is a remote position that offers the flexibility to work from any location within the EST Timezone. The candidate must be available to start immediately and should not have any other full-time or part-time job commitments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that creates a seamless and engaging experience for the audience.
– Take a brief from the production team to understand their needs and specifications.
– Review shooting scripts and raw footage to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
– Trim footage segments and assemble them to create the sequence of the film.
– Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to enhance the final product.
– Create rough and final cuts of the videos.
– Ensure logical sequencing and smooth transitions between scenes.
– Consult with stakeholders throughout the production and post-production process.
– Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
– Work in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone and be available during regular business hours to align with the CEO’s schedule and collaborate effectively with team members.
Requirements and Skills:
– At Least 1-year proven work experience as a Video Editor.
– Solid experience with digital technology and proficiency in editing software packages such as Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut.
– Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
– Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity in video editing.
– Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing techniques.
– Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
– Proven ability to manage pressure and work with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
– Self-motivated and proactive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and able to adjust to the needs.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions.
– Creative mind and storytelling skills to produce engaging and compelling videos.
