Our company is seeking a Growth Marketer to help lead our growth efforts on two Software as a Service (SaaS) products. Both software products are related to Search Engine Optimization. The first sells to Shopify customers, the other to SEO content agencies. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced marketing professional with a proven track record of improving growth metrics through various types of marketing including:

1) SEO
2) Content marketing
3) Customer and community development (talking to customers, getting customers to join group)

The Growth Marketer will work closely with our CEO, an experienced serial entrepreneur.
You’ll learn about how to operate and grow a SaaS business.
Over time you may have the opportunity to run all of marketing strategy (and more) for one of the SaaS brands.

Key Responsibilities:

SEO
– Develop and execute effective SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and increase website traffic
– Conduct keyword research and analysis to inform content creation and optimization
– Monitor and report on website traffic and engagement metrics, such as bounce rate and time on site
Content Marketing
– Develop and execute on an effective content creation calendar
– Video tutorials publication strategy
– Implement strategies to create new content and update existing content
Customer and community Development
– Talk to our larger customers 1:1 to ensure we understand how they use our software, why they purchased us, and what more they need.
– Get our smaller customers to join LinkedIn/FB/etc groups so that we can engage with an active audience

General
– Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices and apply them to our SEO strategies
– Manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks, and ensure deadlines are met
– Manage relationships with external partners, such as agencies and vendors, as needed

Qualifications:
– Proven experience as growth marketer with a focus on SaaS
– Strong understanding of SEO best practices and industry trends (Experience with SEO tools, such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs, etc)
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
– Experience with project management tools, such as Jira

This Growth Marketer for SaaS position is a full-time position with flexible working hours.

Within 1 month you will:
Complete our onboarding program designed to get you up to speed on our business, vision, and team and gain an understanding of how your role fits into Layer One Capital Corp broader organization.
Conduct 1:1s with our team to learn more about creating compelling content, SEO, and marketing in general
Take over the weekly production and analysis of our growth scorecard

Within 3 months you will:
Become completely independent
Stand up an online user community
Contribute to the marketing strategy for both SaaS products.
Work on exciting projects where you can polish your marketing skills

Within 6 months you will:
Take more ownership of forming up the company’s quarterly goals
Create enablement documentation for the team
Help execute the content generation strategy, building a content development team

Within 1 year you will:
Take full ownership of marketing for 1 or both of our SaaS brands
Build a full scale marketing team
