CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: We are seeking a highly experienced, proactive, creative, and mission-driven Head of Digital Marketing to join our evolving team. We are a conscious and intentional team of mental health educators and business professionals who value personal connection and responsibility, as well as bringing thoughtful, professional, impactful work into the world.

POSITION TITLE: Head of Digital Marketing

LOCATION: Although IPI headquarters is in Boulder, Colorado, this role is fully remote/virtual

WORK STATUS: Independent Contractor

HOURS: Hours are flexible based on your time zone, but we are seeking someone who enjoys working in Mountain and Eastern time zones, as there will often be times when you will need to connect over Zoom with leadership and colleagues across the US. This opportunity requires you to dedicate approximately 40 hours per week to this role.

TECH REQUIREMENTS: Your computer and technology setup must support large file video editing including (photo proof to be provided)
• High-speed internet, over 90 mbs—speed test required
• Large file video editing including
• Video card should be at least 2GB
• core i5 or i7 processor

START DATE: As soon as possible

TERM: Long-term, full-time contract

RATE: $20 – 30 per hour USD, depending on experience

EXPERIENCE:
• 10+ years full cycle, hands-on digital marketing experience
• Clear, professional written and verbal English skills
• Proven success as a multi-faceted, hands-on Marketing Leader in a fast-paced, ever-changing start-up environment.
• Strong knowledge of and experience running digital marketing strategies, including content marketing, PPC, email campaigns, podcasts, analytics, and reporting
• Proficient in market research and analysis to identify target markets and customer insights
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing campaigns that drive user acquisition and engagement
• Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Strong analytical skills to track and measure marketing performance and make data-driven decisions
• Strong grasp of how marketing impacts the sales funnel and can generate ideas to reach our target audience and increase sales
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for innovation and staying up-to-date with industry trends
• Must have excellent copywriting skills in English and the ability to proofread.
• 5+ years of experience working in ActiveCampaign or similar software platforms/CRMs
• Experience in the health and/or education industries is a huge plus!

PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: The role of this startup marketing leader is to develop and execute marketing plans that promote the growth of the company. This requires a deep understanding of the market, the competition, and the company’s target customers. It also requires a keen understanding of marketing channels and how to use them effectively

• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive user acquisition and engagement
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify target markets, customer personas, and competitive landscape
• Design and implement content marketing campaigns, including client and trainer streams, to attract and engage our target audience
• Develop and manage paid ad campaigns to drive traffic and conversions. Must have extensive experience managing Google ads, Facebook/Instagram ads, and other paid online advertising sources
• Copywriter for bi-weekly newsletter, email campaigns, sales pages, and other marketing material.
• Layout landing pages and other website pages, and other marketing materials. Must have graphic design experience
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with product development, customer support, and operations
• Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing initiatives and regularly report on performance
• Plan and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads and improve customer retention
• Lead the development of the company’s brand system, ensuring consistency and resonance across all marketing channels
• Monitor industry trends and developments to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation
• Oversee the development of the company website and ensure a seamless user experience
• Manage relationships with external marketing agencies and vendors, as needed
• Developing strategies and tactics to boost the company’s reputation and drive qualified traffic
• Create and send the monthly program overview for current PATP cohorts
• Create quarterly marketing report
• Active Campaign Database Backup
• Manage podcast process
• Manage email lists and draft copy for email sequences
• Manage marketing content calendar
• Create/update landing pages
• Create graphics and promotional materials
• Manage lead gen process and program retention strategy
• Set up automation in ActiveCampaign
• Launch new programs and program promotions
• Design check-out pages in Samcart
• Create and update customer journey maps
• Create video testimonials and create/update brand video
• QC student portal, YouTube trailers, etc
• Work closely with our Co-founder, Head of Programs & Products, and Digital Media Manager
• Extensive experience with Active Campaign and WordPress.
• The ideal candidate will thrive in a one-person team—managing everything from the day-to-day responsibilities through monthly/quarterly strategic planning.

• Adaptable: Ability to adapt and change on the fly – even if that means moving away from (or editing) tactics that you have used in the past. Learn from mistakes quickly and be open to new methods.

• Multi-tasking: As a digital marketing leader, it’s unlikely you’re ever working on just one project at a time. The ability to prioritize often and stay organized will be vital to your success
