Role: Head of Human Resources
Contract: Full-time Remote Contractor (160 hours monthly)
Business Hours: 8 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Rate: $2,000 – $3,000 USD monthly

What you’ll do

The Head of Human Resources will be pivotal in aligning HR strategies with the evolving business needs across all offices. Responsibilities include enabling talent acquisition processes, recommending development programs for potential leaders, managing performance appraisals, talent management, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Additionally, overseeing HR operations and budgets to ensure smooth payroll processing and prudent forecasting of HR needs will be essential.

The Overall Job Purpose:
Build organizational capabilities by aligning HR to evolving business strategy across all offices.
Enable the implementation of the Talent Acquisition process. Assist in the hiring & grooming of potential leaders within the organization by recommending appropriate development programs & career movement within the organization.
Provide services & a training framework leveraging corporate-wide learning & knowledge management systems designed to support the culture of a Learning Organization seamlessly.
Facilitate continuous talent development, building competence, capability, and commitment.
Create HR Organizational Resources.
Manage the complete Performance Appraisal Process.
Manage the complete Talent Management Process, IDP’s & HI Pots.

Key Responsibilities Include:
HR Strategy & Planning:
Enable Collaboration to leverage HR best practices.
Utilize organization tools & models to diagnose opportunities for improvement & alignment to evolving business needs.
Build agreement & mutual understanding on tackling organizational challenges & suggest opportunities for improvement at the area level.
Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and staff commitment to achieving objectives and targets.

Talent & Performance Management:
Enhance & monitor the effectiveness of performance management & potential assessment process. Ensure a standardized Panel Review process within the Area as per Regional Guidelines.
Succession Planning: ensure area succession framework is in place. Monitor effectiveness targets achieved -Monitor secondments. Culture:
Develop a high-performance service culture within the functional department.
Plan, organize and direct an efficient and effective functional department.
Develop KPIs with team members and monitor individual performance.

Learning & Development
Training and Development: Create and Execute training programs & products within the organization.
Develop training frameworks to support line management requirements and conduct courses as appropriate. Develop and roll out an annual plan.
Training Effectiveness: Continuously source and implement effective training evaluation methods that focus on ROI rather than training activity measurements that create the best ROI while maintaining acceptable quality levels.
Reporting and Records: Manage the reporting for training investment and records, including HR Metrics, that enable the organization to understand end-to-end HR activities.
Budgets: Manage the Training costs to meet budget requirements and seek opportunities to support savings.

Talent Acquisition
Manage a complete gamut of activities pertaining to Talent Acquisition across the business lines: Understand and guide the business about the talent needed, create JDs, manage market intelligence, identify the right vendors, streamline the recruitment process, manage negotiation, onboarding and employer branding.
Analyze the needs and the requirements in the Business Units and accomplish quality hiring on time.
Assess current and future staffing needs against the business strategy and develop/oversee implementation of appropriate talent acquisition strategies/plans.
Create, organize, and implement new and enhanced recruiting and selection processes/tools to drive efficiency and improve the quality of hires.
Develop and oversee innovative sourcing strategies to attract talent from non-traditional and/or diverse talent pools.

HR Operations & Budgets:
Manage the overall HR Operations, ensuring smooth payroll processing.
Create accurate & prudent forecasts of HR needs & budget for the same.
Support effective budget management by maintaining accurate records & processing services, ensuring delivery within the approved financial framework.

What you should have

At least 10-12 years of experience in core HR Business Partnering with experience having worked in IT/ITes setups.
Willingness to inculcate a culture of creative thinking and going beyond established norms for engaging with employees and the founders.
Ability to understand the business context and align the HR team and performance metrics closely to overall business goals.
Entrepreneurial mindset.
A specialist HR qualification or HR-related Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
An MBA Degree in HR is a big plus.
Will accept 15+ years of HR Leadership experience in lieu of education credentials.
Must have managed a US, UK or EU company’s HR processes.
Must have experience working remotely and managing team members globally.
