Job Description

I own a small safety consultancy in the UK working mainly in construction safety, providing advice, templates, risk assessments, policies and management systems for SME clients. As the business is growing there is need for assistance in delivering health and safety consultancy to my clients.
Ideally I am looking for a NEBOSH qualified individual, or someone with proven health and safety experience, who is competent in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, who has an eye for detail and understands good layout and design.
It is important all company safety documentation is easy to use and understandable.
Knowledge of construction and the UK safety law and the Construction Design Management Regulations 2015 will be a benefit.
You will not be expected to deal with clients directly, I will always be client facing. All work will be instructed to you and reviewed by myself before issue to the clients.
Initially looking for a 1 day / 8 hours a week only. This is a growing consultancy with new clients joining each month, so there is opportunity for an increase in weekly hours and monthly pay as the business grows.
Work will include:
Reviews of health and safety documentation. Review client safety manuals, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards.
Review existing risk assessment, manual handling assessment, COSHH assessment for suitability. Updates and rebranding of existing risk assessment documentation.
Conduct and document risk assessments to identify risks and develop control measures for client operations and activities.
Safety policy development. Assist in the development of template and customised safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
The update and rebranding safety documentation and templates to suit new clients.
Assist in the develop training material, rebrand and update existing older material in MS PowerPoint.
Development of short training sessions on health and new safety topics in MS PowerPoint
Develop clear and engaging toolbox talks sheets for clients to deliver to employees in MS Word.
Create safety posters, brochures, newsletter and other communication materials to promote safety awareness among client employees.
Developing procedures, forms and flow charts for clients to manage the safety and that of contractors and subcontractors working for them.
Help our clients develop emergency response plans and document emergency preparedness planning.
Collation, sorting and documenting completed client safety documentation for upload to safety accreditation web portals.
