Healthcare Virtual Assistant (Medical, Dental, Veterinary, Mental Health)

Responsibilities — Apply if can perform 3 or more of these duties:

• Assist in managing appointments, scheduling, and sending reminders to patients.
• Handle prescription refills as per the directions of the healthcare providers.
• Perform real-time medical scribing during patient consultations.
• Assist with coding, billing, and payment posting.
• Perform insurance verification, handle prior authorization, and / or manage healthcare claims.
• Provide general administrative support including patient records management in EHR/EMR systems.
• Provide telehealth and / or triage support.
• Assisting with remote patient monitoring (and RPM system setups)
• Collaborate with other team members to provide excellent patient care coordination.

Requirements:

• Graduate of allied health or have experience working with a US healthcare entity
• High English proficiency — including good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work full-time graveyard shifts (M-F)
• Willingness to attend 1-2 weeks of unpaid training — free Certifications!
• Tech qualifications: HD webcam, high quality headset with mic, fast computer (Intel i3 CPU or higher / equivalent), new operating system (windows 10 or higher / MacOs El Capitan or later).
• A reliable home internet connection (at least 10mbps upload / 25mbps download) and backup power & WIFI solutions
• 1 year of VA experience (preferred, but not required)
