We’re in search of a seasoned Content Editor to join our team. You will primarily edit for our sites in the food and beauty niches but may also be asked to help edit for some home and homeschool-related articles.

Requirements:

– A minimum of 5 years of professional writing/editing experience.
– At least 1 year of team management experience.
– Strong and reliable internet connection.
– Showcase exceptional writing proficiency resembling that of a native English speaker, coupled with an innate grasp of American English nuances.
– A meticulous eye for detail is a must. As the final gatekeeper before publication, submitted content should gleam with polish. To gauge your detail-oriented approach, kindly share your favorite color in the application form, where we ask how you heard about us.
– Familiarity with on-page SEO practices.

Job Description:

– Review and Edit: You’ll meticulously review and edit articles submitted by our writing team. This entails both content and copy editing.
– Copy Editing: Your role will encompass careful scrutiny of grammar, spelling, and punctuation, ensuring content aligns with language standards and established style guidelines.
– Content Editing: Enrich written material by evaluating and refining its overarching structure, coherence, and clarity. A knack for optimizing impact through narrative flow, logical organization, and audience engagement is pivotal.
– Enhanced Reader Experience: Execute basic proofreading alongside refining phrasing, eliminating fluff, and transforming content for an enhanced reader experience.
– Coaching and Feedback: Collaborate with writers, providing constructive feedback and guidance to enhance their craft. Your expertise will also contribute to quarterly writer evaluations.
– Holistic Collaboration: Interface seamlessly with the formatting team and SEO strategist to expedite content progression.
– Onboarding Assistance: Facilitate the onboarding process for new writers, aligning them with our quality standards and practices.
– Assigned Content Creation: Time permitting, you may be asked to write articles. However, it is anticipated that this will not be often.
