We are looking for a highly dedicated and talented Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the employer’s vision.
It is essential that he is self-motivated, and has a proven work experience as a Video Editor. He must also have good communication skills and be able to work within a group.
The successful candidate should also be available full time, a self-starter, enjoy working with people, have excellent organizational skills, flexible, mission driven, detail-oriented and good at following instructions.
The ideal candidate should be able to:
Manipulate and edit video pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
Create content for things like instagram and tiktok reels from existing footage.
Take a brief to grasp the employer’s needs and specifications on each project
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
Create rough and final cuts
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
Consult with employer throughout the production process.
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
Requirements:
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
Creative mind and storytelling skills
