Looking for someone reliable who knows WordPress development.

This is for one specific project which needs to be taken over the finish line, taking up the project from the previous developer. Mostly just implementing the blog, possibly implementing a forum next. If the hire does well there will likely be additional web work coming their way, and possibly a full time job if that is what you want; we have space for at least one developer on the team.

You should be responsible, knowledgeable, and a self starter. Good knowledge of WordPress, Elementor, and similar.

This position is for part-time, hourly-based work, with potential to be a full-time position. Hourly rate will be based on experience.

Things you should know about WordPress:
-what happens if you have too many plugins
-whether you should trust a plugin
-is a plugin for what you want to do overkill?
-when to upgrade any plugins or themes
-how to load in images for optimized download times
-how to reduce the website footprint
-how to develop a secure WordPress website
-how to use code from an online tutorial and implement it in the install
-good working knowledge of CSS and HTML to be able to hand code fixes

Things you should understand about web design, or be willing to learn:
-what is a good and successful design
-how to implement an SEO plan
-how to do more with less
-marketing and how it converts better
-color theory
-the value of good photos

Things you should understand about Elementor:
-using Elementor pro to make beautiful websites
-speeding up development processes sometimes by using pre-built templates
-create reusable portions of the website
-create visual sections of pages to make things work
