Home Healthcare Compliance Manager for Partnership for Health (Virtual Assistant Position)

Summary:
The Home Healthcare Compliance Manager for Partnership for Health is a pivotal, remote-based role focused on ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, specifically pertaining to South Carolina and Georgia. This position will meticulously research, develop, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure 100% compliance with Georgia DCH, South Carolina SCDHHS, the Joint Commission, and other pertinent laws and guidelines. As we aim to optimize our US operations, this position stands as a cornerstone in establishing redundancy and ensuring our local staff focuses on face-to-face responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Job Duty 1 –
Research, develop, and continuously update policies and procedures to ensure complete compliance with South Carolina’s SCDHHS, Georgia’s DCH, and the Joint Commission.

Job Duty 2 –
Stay updated with the latest laws and regulations that impact home healthcare in South Carolina and Georgia, especially focusing on the Social Security Act, HIPAA, the HITECH Act, The False Claims ACT, The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, The Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Department of Health and Human Services.

Job Duty 3 –
Work closely with executive leadership to understand organizational goals, and develop and implement strategies that establish a culture of compliance.

Job Duty 4 –
Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive compliance training and educational programs for all staff members, ensuring they are updated with the latest compliance standards and understand the importance of adherence.

Job Duty 5 –
Monitor and audit the organization’s operations to identify any compliance risks, and recommend corrective actions as necessary.

Job Duty 6 –
Liaise with local office teams and ensure that only face-to-face tasks remain with the local teams while all compliance management is efficiently handled remotely.

Job Duty 7 –
Stay informed about international best practices in compliance management, especially those that can be effectively implemented in a remote work environment.

Job Duty 8 –
Prepare regular compliance reports and updates for senior leadership, highlighting areas of concern and proposing strategies for improvement.

Job Duty 9 –
Develop and oversee a contingency plan to address any potential compliance breaches, ensuring swift remediation and minimal disruption.

Job Duty 10 –
Engage with relevant external bodies and agencies as required, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring Partnership for Health’s interests are well represented.

Required Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Healthcare Compliance, Law, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Skills & Abilities:

Deep understanding of healthcare laws and regulations, especially those relevant to South Carolina and Georgia.
Exceptional research and analytical skills.
Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and proactively in a remote environment.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Ability to provide training and education in an engaging manner.
