Job Title: HR Generalist
Job Type: Full Time
Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM PST
Salary: $1,300 – $1,800 USD per month
Summary Description:
The Human Resource Generalist will help run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including onboarding and offboarding, benefits and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices and will report to the Director of HR and Recruitment.
Job Duties:
– Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
– Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to workers compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
– Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
– Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
– Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
– Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
– Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
– Four-year college degree and/or equivalent work experience desirable but not required
– Familiarity with BambooHR software preferred but not required
– Thorough understanding and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
– Familiarity with Dropbox and Google Suite preferred but not required
– Strong leadership skills – ability to organize, utilize and motivate team members quickly to respond to changes in the construction schedule and scope
– Good at problem solving and implementing site-specific modifications to continue production when issues arise
– Strong Internet and research skills
– Detail oriented and process oriented with the ability to understand key business concepts at a micro and macro level
– Effective communication skills across all levels and departments of the organization
– Be flexible and able to multitask, prioritize properly, and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks with a high level of organization
– Understand the organizational structure and processes and use that understanding to make appropriate business decision and process movement
– Possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude with strong interpersonal skills
– Ability and willingness to learn and adapt quickly to rapidly evolving business priorities
– Ability to work independently, proactively, show initiative, and operate with a sense of urgency at all times
– Must have experience maintaining a high level of confidentiality
