We are seeking a motivated highly trained and versatile individual to join our team as a Human Resources and Payroll Manager. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our company, maintaining a positive work environment, and supporting our employees. A potential candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Human Resources Management
– Manage recruitment and onboarding processes, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial candidate assessments.
– Maintain accurate HR records, including personnel files, employment contracts, and other HR documentation.
– Support employee benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
– Help with employee training and development initiatives, including coordinating training sessions and tracking employee progress.
– Address employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
Administrative Support:
– Assist in the coordination of administrative tasks within the organization
– Assist in creating and maintaining a positive workplace
– Support the resolution of employee concerns and conflicts, escalating issues to HR management when necessary.
– Monitor and address employee attendance and timekeeping, including tracking vacations and leaves.
– Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by employees and assist in policy enforcement when required.
– Help create and update HR-related documents, including employee handbooks and company policies.
Payroll Management
– Overseeing Payroll Processing: Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
– Compliance with Laws and Regulations: Stay updated on and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
– Payroll Records Management: Maintain and update payroll records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data such as exemptions, insurance, and 401(k) deductions.
– Employee Queries Resolution: Address employee inquiries and complaints related to payroll matters in a timely and effective manner.
– Payroll System Management: Select and manage payroll software for efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring it meets the organization’s needs.
– Collaboration with HR and Finance: Coordinate with the Human Resources and Finance departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
– Audit and Internal Controls: Establish and enforce proper payroll policies and procedures to ensure a strong system of internal controls and passing of audits.
– Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in payroll budgeting and forecasting activities, providing critical insights for financial planning.
– Team Leadership and Training: Lead and develop the payroll team, providing training and guidance to ensure staff understand all aspects of payroll processing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Prior experience in human resources or administrative roles is a plus
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
