HR Director

Work schedule
– Monday – Friday: 8:00AM – 6:00PM Pacific Time Zone
– Full-time Salary Based Employment
– 8 – 10 hour shifts
– Will be required to work weekends during busy hiring season

Job Responsibilities:
– Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues.
– Formulates partnerships across business units with value-added service to management and employees that reflects the objectives of the organization.
– Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business and organization’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture, and its competition with laser focus on the goal of enhancing business performance.
– Leads people data gathering and analytics to enable all lines of businesses with people strategies and execution.
– Identifies and supports the business in successfully delivering credible, customer focused, cost-effective and innovative solutions using a range of techniques.
– Translate the resourcing requirements and Talent Management information into achievable resource plans.
– Collaborates with HR counterparts in Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits and People Experience in ensuring highest level of employee and customer experience across all business units.
– Manage a team of HR Business Partners servicing international Clients on related HR matters, providing guidance when appropriate.
– On board all new hires by complying with corporate policies
– Pre-screen candidates
– Create, drive and execute strategic workforce planning to achieve business unit targets inclusive of seasonal hiring. Ensure organizational readiness and capability to deliver results, right people, right place, right time. Encourage building strength through diversity and inclusion.
– Develop people strategies, create future leaders, and drive a high performance and engagement culture through talent management, performance management and leadership development
– Develop and maintain an independent, trusted advisor relationship with business leadership and a professional network of relationships within and outside KMC Solutions Inc.
– Ensure Employee Relations’ best practices and training, conduct investigations and propose corrective actions.
– Provides HR guidelines and interpretation for escalated issues.
– Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.

– Work closely with safety and payroll department to ensure compliance and correct onboarding procedures
– Implements human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, and compensation.
– Manages human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, and counseling staff.
– Develops human resources operations financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements.
– Accomplishes special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities.
– Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions.
– Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies.
– Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
– Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities.
– Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
– Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
– Supports organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
– Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
– Manages a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; and recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions.
– Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counseling employees and supervisors.
– Implements employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; and designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
– Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
– Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.
– Cultivates professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
– Manages human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
– Advances human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees, and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
– Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

– Work with counsel, company executives and company owners to avoid any legal issues arising related to employees
– Must be available weekend during busy hiring season
– Point of Contact for all employment certifications in relation to one’s employment including mandatory contributions and clearance certificates.
– Conducts and facilitates HR-related enablement sessions to ensure that employees are kept updated as well as informed on the latest policies, guidelines and systems in use essential to the completion of the employee’s work.
– Conducts regular video calls to clients and be involved in status checks meetings with each to better understand the HR needs of the business.
– Administer the Timekeeping Process including but not limited to ensuring that all employees are included and informed of their employee data prior to endorsement to Payroll.
– Ensure timely communication, execution and completion of the performance evaluation process for beginning, mid and year end appraisals.
– Oversees and Reviews Employee Movement documentation to ensure accuracy in records and employees are updated of their new movements and/or status within the organization.
– Provides partnership to the business unit to identify strategies to increase employee engagement through effective communication, policies, and practices.
– Oversees all HR proponents in company events and is involved in the design and development of each initiative and ensures these are aligned with business needs.
– Is tasked to take on additional projects as necessary and as per instructed by immediate superior or by management.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field from a four-year college or university
– At least 10 years’ experience in HR roles with specialization in Employee Relations and at least another HR discipline from the outsourcing/offshoring industry
– At least 5 years of people management experience
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
– Strong Employee Relations experience (rank and file to executive level)
– Strong Project Management Skills
– Experience from the outsourcing/offshoring industry is preferred
– Proficient Oral and Written Communication Skills
– Creativity and Innovation

– Influencing Skills: Strategic HR Business Partnering, Managing Diversity, Interpersonal Sensitivity, Political and Business Savvy
– 5+ years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles

– PHR certificate preferred
– SPHR certification preferred

– HRCI certification preferred
– Experience with human resource management for USA based companies preferred
– Experience working remotely
