Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Human Resources Manager to lead and manage our HR team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the recruitment, screening, and management of employees while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The HR Manager will also be responsible for past job verification checks. A strong background in leadership is essential as this role demands leading the HR team effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

1. Team Management:
a. Lead and manage the HR team, ensuring optimal performance and team development.
b. Delegate tasks, set performance targets, and oversee daily operations.
c. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and facilitate ongoing training.
d. Establish effective lines of communication within the HR team and across departments.

2. Recruitment and Staffing:
a. Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
b. Screen resumes and conduct initial interviews with candidates.
c. Coordinate and conduct background checks, including past job verification.
d. Facilitate the hiring process from start to finish and ensure a seamless onboarding experience.

3. Compliance and Policies:
a. Ensure that HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
b. Regularly review and update HR policies and procedures.
c. Address employee inquiries regarding company policies, benefits, and procedures.

4. Employee Relations:
a. Develop and sustain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and productivity.
b. Address employee grievances and resolve conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
c. Coordinate performance appraisal and career development programs.

5. Reporting and Analysis:
a. Regularly report to upper management on HR metrics and provide strategic recommendations.
b. Maintain up-to-date employee records and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information.
c. Analyze HR data to identify trends and make informed decisions.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3-7 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
3. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar HR certification is preferred.
4. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
5. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
6. Proficient in HR software and tools.
7. Thorough knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
8. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
9. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
