We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department in various administrative tasks and activities. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a high level of discretion and professionalism.
Responsibilities Include:
Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR department, including answering phones, responding to emails, scheduling appointments, and maintaining HR files. Provide design and organizational support for HR initiatives.
Recruitment Assistance: Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting initial screenings, and scheduling interviews.
Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new employee files, coordinating orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
Employee Records: Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits administration by processing enrollments, changes, and terminations. Provide support during open enrollment periods. Administration of our Recognition Platform.
Payroll Support: Assist with payroll preparation by providing relevant data such as PTO, absences, and bonus payments.
Compliance: Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Assist with audits and reporting requirements.
Employee Relations: Support the HR team in addressing employee inquiries and issues, providing information on HR policies and procedures.
Special Projects: Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed, contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the department.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within Human Resources, is desirable.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.
Familiarity with HRIS systems
Familiarity with cloud based software and tools such as Google Workspace, Slack and Canva.
Must be able to work in a virtual environment via telecommute over high speed internet access in a quiet and protected workspace free from background noise such that the performance of duties is done in the most professional manner.
Consistent, positive attitude.
Bilingual in German and English preferred but not required.
