Position Overview

The Human Resources Coordinator is pivotal in our Los Angeles-based wound care company. This position is designed to support the Human Resources Department in executing key functions such as recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Staffing: Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating job postings, reviewing resumes, conducting initial screenings, and scheduling interviews. Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires and maintain all necessary documentation.

Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and any HR-related issues. Facilitate resolution of employee concerns and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Benefits Administration: Support the administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Provide information and guidance to employees on benefit options and enrollment procedures.

Training and Development: Coordinate logistics for training sessions and professional development opportunities. Track participation and evaluate program effectiveness.

HR Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws and ensure company policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Record Keeping: Accurately maintain employee files and HR databases. Ensure confidentiality and security of all HR-related information.

Performance Management: Support the performance review by scheduling evaluations, collecting feedback, and maintaining performance data records.

HR Projects: Participate in special projects related to HR initiatives, such as employee engagement surveys, diversity and inclusion efforts, and process improvement projects.

Payroll Administration: Manage and administer bi-weekly payroll. Proficiency in ADP is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
-1-3 years of experience in an HR support role.
-Strong understanding of HR practices and labor legislation.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Advanced English proficiency
-Availability Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time

Working Conditions
This role requires working hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Pacific Standard Time from Monday to Friday. Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines or to support HR-related events.
