Job Description

We are looking for a direct-response copywriter to join our team.

What is direct-response copywriting?
– We are talking about writing that empathizes with your readers so much that they feel like you are the only one in the world who understands them.
– We are talking about writing that can remove any sales objections your prospects may have.
– We are talking about persuasive writing that makes your prospects unable to resist buying from you.

As a direct response copywriter, your goal is to write ad copies that persuade and educate the right prospects to take action to solve their pain.

You will work with the ad creative designer to craft ad creatives that complement your copywriting. (Even though no design skills are needed from you, you must have some aesthetic sense, i.e. knowing how to choose to right elements/photos/graphics, having a good feeling of the text spacing, and good attention to detail)

You will conduct weekly research on your prospects and understand them inside out so that you understand their pain points, hopes, dreams, and fears. (This is the MOST important skill you need to be an amazing direct response copywriter. We have seen many talented writers fail because of shoddy research work.)

You will be involved in creating an offer, during which you will discover business secrets that can shorten the purchase cycle and remove sales objections. This sets your campaign apart from the ocean of competitors, with the right foundation, this can help you write and refine your copy efficiently. This will also help you produce a timeless winning copy that can have a breakthrough campaign result.

Writing long-form Facebook ad copies and landing pages that speak to cold and warm audiences.

Your work might be scrutinized line-by-line and you will likely be required to rewrite your copies multiple times. You will also be required to tweak headlines and ad creative copies to optimize the campaign performance. This is how you can produce a winning ad that delivers 10X results.

The ideal candidate is someone who:
Understands direct response copywriting at a deeper-than-technical level
Has at least 1 year of experience writing direct response copy
Writes in the non-hyperbole language (read the 1st bullet) that speaks to the average person
Picks up the market’s language with ease
Is independent and disciplined enough to conduct your own research

This role is ideal for someone whose goal is to work in an agency and with a team.
