Project Overview: Expand upon and develop our visual storytelling and illustration of the startup journey to educate, inspire and relate to aspiring and current entrepreneurs the process of building a new startup venture through simple, compelling and relatable stories. We have an initial concept already being shared on instagram and are looking for a talent illustrator and storyteller to build off our initial content that follows one startup team and one corporate innovators journey through building and scaling their ventures.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and creative Illustrator to join our team!
The ideal candidate will have a strong artistic and concept-driven background with the ability to create engaging and visually appealing illustrations that align with our audiences own startup and innovation journeys as well as our marketing communication needs.
As an Illustrator, you will be working with independent material (a book manuscript that includes stories on three characters) as the input to conceptualize it into cartoons/comics and story-heavy narratives.
The illustrations are single pen stroke cartoons that are currently and will continue to be used across media channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, with the potential to narrate digital layouts in PDF/playbook format.
You will be working independently and have the flexibility for asynchronous work mostly with periodic meetings to show progress, get creative and/or strategic input and ask for feedback to support your production needs and plan ahead.

Key Responsibilities:
Create original illustrations based on project requirements and creative briefs in style, and able to craft illustrations to bring stories to life already found in an existing manuscript.
Must be able to creatively expand on the existing story, and transform complex topics into simple, relatable, comedic and effective visuals.
Collaborate with other team members to develop visual content that complements our branding and marketing strategies
Transform compelling ideas and concepts into visual illustrations
Revise and modify based on team feedback
Ensure that illustrations meet quality standards and are delivered within the deadline
Contribute and collaborate with to brainstorming sessions and creative meetings
Ideally you have used a proper drawing app or know how to navigate and should be comfortable using Figma

Qualifications:
Proven experience as an illustrator with some knowledge in marketing
Ideally interested in or passionate about startups and innovation, the premise behind the visual stories you’ll be producing
Proficiency in illustration software such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or any other relevant tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conceptualize and produce various cartoons for social media on a weekly basis
A Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
