Influencer Outreach Specialist

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Virtual Assistant to help with Influencer Outreach for our CBD company.

As you review the job description, we welcome any questions you may have about the position or our team. The position is for 40 hours a week, full-time work.

This posting is for an audition. We will be selecting 3-5 candidates to hire for a paid test project. After seeing your work, we’ll choose who to bring on to the team.

Strong English writing and communication skills are the only requirements for this job. We will train you how to do everything else.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Influencer Outreach Specialist to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, building relationships with, and collaborating with influencers to increase brand awareness, engagement, and revenue. The candidate must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

Identify potential influencers
Reach out to influencers
Manage relationships with influencers
Track influencer data and information
Create affiliate discounts and codes for influencers

The requirements for each are listed below:

*Identify potential influencers
To do this, you will need to research and find influencers that align with our brand in terms of audience, principles, and messaging. You will need to search through social media channels, blogs, and influencer databases to find influencers that would be happy to represent our products.

You will thoroughly look through their content and profiles to be sure that their content and message align with our brand. You’ll also be looking for criteria to see if their audience is active and engaged.

We’ll provide you with the criteria we’re looking for in terms of influencers we want to work with.

*Reach out to influencers
Once you’ve identified the right kind of influencers, you’ll reach out to them via email, social media, or other means to introduce our brand and product and establish a relationship.

This will require a good grasp of written and conversational English so you can communicate well with the influencers. We’ll train you on the guidelines we want for how to reach out to them.

*Manage relationships with influencers
You’ll be responsible for communicating back and forth with the influencer including negotiating the terms of the relationship, getting feedback on our products, and maintaining a positive relationship.

The goal is to offer as much value as possible to the influencer to help develop a positive relationship.

*Tracking influencer data and information
You’ll track all the steps you’ve taken in regard to reaching out to influencers in our spreadsheet. You’ll track who you’ve reached out to, their responses, when you’ll be following up, etc.

*Create affiliate discounts and codes for influencers
Once we’ve developed a working relationship with an influencer, you’ll need to create an affiliate code for them. You’ll log in to our Shopify site and create the discount code in the system. Then you’ll give the discount code to the influencer.

Qualities Needed to Be Successful

As we mentioned, a good grasp of written English is required. Beyond that, the main things we’re looking for are integrity, commitment, and a desire to learn.

Integrity: You are a good fit if you can be honest with the people you’re working with. Open communication and honesty are vitally important to our team. If you can’t hit a deadline or make a mistake, be upfront about it and allow all of us to work toward a solution together.

Commitment: We’re looking for someone who is looking for long-term work with the expectation that this will become full-time. We are committed to providing you with the training and skills necessary to succeed at this job as well as grow into other positions. We would like someone to join our time who will be equally committed to growing their skills. If you’re just looking for a few months of work, this is not for you.

Desire to learn: We want people who are open to learning new skills and taking on new projects. If you’re not on board with one day learning other skills outside of influencer outreach, this job isn’t for you.
